Meet Dr. Kevin Patel, DPM, FACFAS: Advanced Foot & Ankle Care in Greensboro & Burlington

Dr. Kevin Patel, DPM

Every physician brings a different perspective to patient care. For Dr. Kevin Patel, that perspective is shaped by both advanced surgical training and a practical understanding of how foot and ankle problems affect everyday life. Whether treating athletes, active adults, or patients dealing with chronic structural issues, his focus is always the same: helping people move more comfortably and confidently.

That approach is rooted in years of rigorous training and a foundation that began close to home.

Dr. Patel’s Education & Training

A North Carolina native, Patel grew up in Sanford before attending North Carolina State University, where he earned his degree in biochemistry. He went on to receive his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine and completed four rigorous years of surgical residency training at Temple University Hospital Health System, a Level 1 trauma center. During his training, he served as Chief Resident.

Board-certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS) in both Foot Surgery and Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery, Dr. Patel specializes in sports injuries, trauma, and complex forefoot and rearfoot reconstruction. If you have flatfoot, a high arch, chronic instability, or a lingering injury that refuses to improve, he is often the physician patients are referred to. Not just because he can operate, but because he knows when surgery is truly necessary.

At Triad Foot & Ankle Center, Dr. Patel treats a wide range of foot and ankle conditions, including sports injuries, flatfoot deformities, high arches, tendon injuries, fractures, and complex reconstructive cases. Patients across Greensboro and the Triad region seek his expertise for both non-surgical treatment and advanced reconstructive foot and ankle surgery.

He is deeply hands-on in his approach. He studies how you move. He asks what you do for work. He wants to know if you chase toddlers, run marathons, or spend long days on concrete floors. Treatment, in his view, is never one-size-fits-all. It is tailored. Intentional. Personal.

He speaks both English and Gujarati, allowing him to connect comfortably across cultures and generations. Patients often remark on how clearly he explains complex conditions and treatment options. He uses real-life examples to break down anatomy and mechanics so that you leave not only with a plan, but with understanding.

“I am passionate about health care, helping to make a difference in people’s lives and tailoring treatment plans for each individual.”

Outside the clinic, you might find him on a tennis court, traveling, or spending time with family. Staying active himself gives him a personal appreciation for mobility and performance. He understands that getting you back on your feet is not just about healing tissue. It is about restoring rhythm to your life.
