Biography

Dr. Claire Sanger Dillingham is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon and the founding chief of Cone Health’s Plastic Surgery and Reconstructive Department. She provides the full scope of plastic surgery services—from aesthetic procedures to complex reconstruction—allowing patients to receive expert care close to home. Her clinical interests include breast reconstruction, body contouring, and wound care, and she is a widely published educator and speaker in these areas.

Dr. Dillingham is deeply committed to global health, regularly leading medical mission teams across Africa, Asia, and Central America, and training surgeons in Eastern Europe. She studied in Paris and Sweden, and speaks English, Spanish, and French.

Outside of work, she enjoys traveling with her husband, reading, playing piano, sewing, cooking, and spending time with her Boston Terrier.
